Question 1: Genesis 9

挪亞的後裔遍佈歐亞非三洲.  都同是挪亞的後裔, 但是只有閃的後裔 (希伯來人) 堪稱為神的選民. 耶穌也說過: “我是道路, 真理, 生命. 若不經過我, 沒有人能到父那裡.” 由此可見基督教及猶太教 (回教也是) 的神觀排他性都很強. 這樣的神觀正確嗎? 難道神在其他宗教就沒有啟示祂自己? 神如何對你啟示祂自己? 今日當我們傳基督的福音給異教徒時, 該用何種態度面對才正確?

Question 2: Genesis 9: 8-17

Right after the flood, reflected by rainbow, God made covenant with Noah, his family, and all the creatures survived.  The use of this symbol was very different from what we now are used to: we tend to use something unchangeable and long-lasting, like diamond rings in wedding, to represent the ever-lasting contract or relationship. Rainbow shows right after rain but soon disappears when sun shines directly. So why is rainbow? Please provide your reasons and thoughts associated with this symbol to explain the nature of the covenant.

Question 3: Genesis 9:20-25

It seems that the days after flooding won't be that easy for the farmer Noah. Under stress or pressure, he got himself drunk and lost his clothes or respect. Though Shem and Japheth (his sons) did the right thing by covering him up, Ham’s son (Noah’s grandson) was cursed for seemingly minor misdemeanor. What will these messages teach us?

Question 4: Genesis 11:1-9: The tower of Babel

Why did the people build the tower of Babel?  Why was God distressed by their actions? What is the role of languages within this story? How have you experienced this story being interpreted and used? Do you think that we can compare the similarities between the Tower of Babel and the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center?

Question 5: Genesis 12:10-20

After he went down to Egypt, by cheating or survival skill, Abram gained enormous wealth from Rulers. However, Lord sent great troubles on Pharaoh's house because of Sarai, Abram's wife. What is your opinion about this and what can we learn from these messages?

Question 6: Genesis 15:16

“Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness." Abram is the "father of all who believe". What can we learn from Abram's faith?
