Question 1:   1 Corinthians 1:25 - 31, 3:18 - 23

The scripture upholds God's wisdom in Jesus Christ and downplays an individual's boasting for his/her own philosophical taste. Ascribing glory to God, the Presbyterian also teaches that God's sovereignty is over the prestige built by human work. However in the Taiwanese culture people show deference to and praise others in managing relationships. In the American society, many individuals work for building up their own confidence and reputation.

How do we teach God's sovereignty in the society and the congregation we now live with? How do we praise others properly based on the teaching?

經文高舉上帝表明在耶穌的智慧﹐責備人倚靠哲學自誇。榮光歸於上帝﹐長老教會猶原教示信徒﹐上帝的主權贏過人賺著的尊貴。總是在台灣文化﹐人靠客氣及褒揚別人來捏理人際關係。在美國社會﹐真濟人做代誌是為著起造家己的自信及名聲。在咱生活的社會和會友中間﹐安怎來教示上帝主權的道理﹖咱安怎讚美 別人才是妥當﹖

Question 2:  1 Corinthians 3:10-17, 6:19-20

Paul taught us that our body is a temple of God with His Holy Spirit dwelling in it. Just like Moses who were given specific instruction showing that God is not and can not limited by His ark, we now understand that God is not limited in any worship Sanctuary, Temple in Jerusalem or Mt. Sinai. So if our body is the dwelling place for God and His spirit, how shall we prepare our body everyday physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually, in order to make it worthy of God's dwelling?

保羅教示咱，咱的身軀是上帝的殿，是祂的聖靈徛起的所在。親像摩西所領受到的上帝的教示，就是上帝的臨在不只拘限於約櫃內。咱.今攏知上帝的臨在不是只拘限於崇拜的殿堂，耶路撒冷的聖殿，抑是西奈的聖山。既然咱的身軀若是上帝所徛起的所在，咱當怎樣備辦咱的身、心、靈，倘值得上帝的臨在？

Question 3:  1 Corinthians 10:23-31

Paul wrote to Corinthians churches, in trying to resolve the community conflicts, that everything is permissible--but not everything is beneficial and constructive. So nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others so that they may be saved. He further mentioned that whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble even as he tried to please everybody in every way.  We live in a capitalistic society that championed individualism, justice, and personal responsibility. Sometimes conflict arises between individual and others in the community. How can we take Paul's advices and apply it to our daily lives? Please share your thoughts.

保羅寫批給哥林多教會，是為了要解決教會內部的衝突。提到凡事都可行，但不都有益處。無論何人，不要只求自己的益處，乃要求別人的益處，叫他們得救。你們或吃或喝，或做任何事，都要榮耀神。凡事都討眾人喜歡，但不要使人跌倒。咱生活佇這個資本主義的社會，崇尚個人主義、公平正義、責任感。有時在教會內部人與人之間發生衝突，我們如何將保羅的教導運用到日常生活上？請分享個人體驗。
