Question 1:  Jeremiah 34: 8-20

The People in Jerusalem did not keep the covenant that King Zedekiah made with them: to set all Hebrew slaves, male or female free. This angered God as the whole story of Exodus is about liberty and justice. After reading this chapter, please review our current events and share your thoughts about the definition of "Liberty for all" in Jeremiah's time and today. Is economic or social discrimination less guilty than military or political oppression?

耶路撒冷的人民退悔自己與西底家王所立 “解放奴隸”的約, 引起上帝大受氣; 因為上帝引導以色列人的祖先出埃及就是要賜他們自由與公義. 請討論 “自由” 在當時以及今日的定義. 除了軍事政治的壓迫,經濟以及社會地位的歧視敢不是也干犯上帝嗎?

Question 2: Jeremiah 36: 27 – 32

Jeremiah kept prophesying without being heard. After King Jehoiakim cut and burned the scroll of Jeremiah's prophecy about the destruction of Jerusalem, Jeremiah re-wrote another identical one to document what God had told him. When we experience "dry season" in our faith journey, what can help us resume the aspiration like what Jeremiah had?

雖罔無人欲聽﹐耶利米繼續預言。在約雅敬王刀割閣燒掉耶利米本來預言耶路撒冷毀滅所寫的書卷了後﹐ 耶利米閣寫出一卷共款的﹐記錄上帝對他所講的話。當咱在信仰的路程遇到靈性的枯乾﹐安怎樣會幫贊咱重新得到親像耶利米有的火熱﹖

Question 3: Jeremiah 37:3, 37:17, 38:5, 38:14-16

King Zedekiah repeatedly asked Jeremiah for prophecy, but never obeyed God’s word that was given through Jeremiah. Through our 20/20 "hindsight", it was obvious that he could only hear what he wanted to hear. But every one of us made similar mistakes, too, and probably very often. How can we improve our "foresight" to discern God's will and make wise choices?

西底家王再三詢問耶利米 :上帝的旨意是什麼? 但是他根本就不服從上帝的話. 在咱看來他是 “只聽到自己愛聽的話” 但這是 “事後的遠見”咱也很容易犯同樣的毛病. 敢有什麼好方法來改善咱的 “先見” 好來選擇符合上帝旨意的行動?
