Question 1: Luke 18: 1-14 In these two parables, Jesus taught us how to pray. The widow’s persistent petition shows the strength of her faith. The tax collector’s humble attitude keeps him from being self-righteous. What else can we learn from these lessons for prayer?
Question 2: Luke 19: 40 ( Also see Luke 3:8 and 19:44, Habakkuk 2:9-11) When entering Jerusalem, the disciples loudly praised God. Some Pharisees wanted Jesus to rebuke his disciples. What does these verses in reference to stone shouting mean?
Question 3: Luke 20:17-18 Jesus referred to himself as the stone rejected by the builder yet became the capstone. Then he also said this stone would crush whoever it fell on. It is clear from the context that he was referring to the fact he will be the standard by which God uses on the ultimate judgment day. In our daily lives, how do we keep focusing on Jesus as our standard?
Question 4: Luke 21: 5-36 How do we in the 21st Century America interpret these verses on teaching “Signs of the end of the age”?
Question 5: Luke 22: 7-38 Have you ever discussed the meaning of “ the Lord’s Supper”-Holy Communion with your children or family? What did (would) you say to them? Please share your thoughts with us: your church family.
