Question 1: Luke 22:36; 49-53 Matthew 26:51-52

Jesus asked his disciples to sell their cloak and buy a sword. (Luke 22:36) Later, when one of his disciples used his sword cutting off the right ear of one of those Jesus' arresters, Jesus said: “No more of this.” Jesus then proceeded to heal this slave of the high priest. However, in Matthew 26:51-52, when Peter drew his sword to protect his Master, Jesus responded: "Put your sword back in its place, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword". How do we reconcile these literally paradoxical statements about Jesus?

在路加福音22章36節耶穌指示祂的門徒: “但如今…….沒有刀的要賣衣服買刀.” 在51節耶穌說: “到這地步, 由他們吧” 反把大祭司的僕人治好. 在馬太福音26章52節耶穌對門徒說: “凡動刀的必死在刀下.” 我們應如何由這些段字義上不太一至的經文來學習認知耶穌對 “武力” 的教導?

Question 2: Luke 23:39-43

This narrative of the two criminals who were crucified with Jesus demonstrated an example of the “death bed conversion”. Do you feel God is just to forgive such criminals who have no chance to demonstrate their atonement by their behaviors?

耶穌不但原諒這位認罪的罪犯,更說: “今日你要同我在樂園裡了.” 您認為這種 “臨死特班直達車到天國” 對一生一世認真學習做義的人公平嗎 ?

Question 3: Luke 24: 13-36

Cleopas and his companion met post-resurrection Jesus on their way to Emmaus. In this narrative, we learn that there are three fundamental elements in our spiritual formation. What are these three elements?

在這段經文中我們可學習到耶穌兩位門徒如何由 “復活後的耶穌” 在他們心中做工的寶貴經驗. 我們可以歸納出至少三個重要的 “靈修成長要點” 這三點是什麼?
