December 19th, 2004 & December 27th, 2004 TAFPC Adult Sunday School Bible Study 台美團契長老教會成人主日學三年讀經運動12/27/2004討論問題 Question 1: Luke 8:10-18 How shall we, living in this highly mass consumption promoting culture, nurture the “seed” (8:11: The seed is the word of God…) that we received to “produce crop” in our hearts and our lives? What kind of “soil”(environment) do we provide for the “Seed”? Question 2: Luke 10:25-37; 38-42 When Martha asked Jesus to tell her sister Maria to help her with “the preparations that had to be made”, Jesus said: “You are worried about many things, but only one thing is needed.” What is this one thing? If we compare this story about sisters with the preceding story of the Good Samaritan, in which Jesus told the expert in the law twice: “Go and do likewise”, how do we choose one thing among our daily “many preparations that had to be made”? Question 3: Luke 11:41, 12:33-34 One of the great teachings from Jesus Christ is “give to the poor”, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” How shall we TAFPC as A Congregation, implement this teaching? Question 4: Luke 15: “The Lost Sheep, Coin and Son” Are we the Prodigal Son or the Obedient Son? What does “Once lost, now found” mean in Jesus teaching by these three stories? Question 5: Luke 17: 20-21 Jesus said “the kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, here it is or there it is, because the kingdom of God is among you.” In this Advent-Christmas season, what does this teaching of Jesus “the kingdom of God is among you” mean to us?
