Mark 9:2-13

Peter said to Jesus, "Teacher, how good it is that we are here!  We will make three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." (Mark 9:5)   What in Peter’s mind that he wanted to build tents for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah (Please refer to Leviticus 23: 39-43)? Especially for Moses and Elijah, they were two leading figures that appeared in different periods in time.  Why did they need to live in the tents?

Mark 9:42-50

            Have we done anything to cause another to lose faith in Jesus?  How can we be prudent in our words and deeds and so to avoid ourselves being other people’s roadblock in faith?  What did Jesus mean by:" Everyone will be salted by fire…" and "Have salt in yourselves, and be in peace with each other." (Mark 9:49-50)  What is the metaphor symbolized by this "salt"?

Mark: 10:13-16

"When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these" (Mark 10:14). What are the characteristics of children Jesus referred to?

Mark 12:13-17

"Then Jesus said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's."   And they were amazed at him" (Mark 12:17).  What’s your explanation of Jesus’ teaching of the dichotomy?  We often hear church people identify the sacred things from the secular world.  However, if you are a Presbyterian Christian you also believe that God’s sovereignty is over all things.  Therefore, is there anything secular God doesn’t /cannot manage? How do you negotiate these two seemingly contradictory statements?

馬可9: 2-13

     彼得對耶穌說﹕“老師﹐我們在這裡真好﹗讓我們搭三座帳篷﹐一座給你﹐一座給摩西﹐一座給以利亞”(馬可9:5)。 彼得那時候在想什麼﹐說出要搭帳篷給耶穌､摩西､和以利亞(請參考舊約利未記23:39-43)﹖尤其摩西和以利亞是猶太歷史裡不同時代的領導人物﹐什麼原因/典故要住在帳篷裡﹖

馬可9:42-50

     想一下我們自己是不是曾經做了什麼﹐導致別人對上帝失去信心﹖我們該如何小心自己的言行﹐免得自己成為別人建立信心的絆腳石﹖當耶穌說“每一個人都要被火鍛煉﹐像用鹽醃一樣”還有“....你們要有鹽的作用﹐彼此和睦相處”(馬可9:49-50)。這裡的鹽代表的是什麼﹖

馬可10:13-16   

     耶穌看見了就生氣﹐對門徒說“讓小孩子到我這裡來不要阻止他們﹐因為上帝國的子民正是像他們這樣的人”(馬可10:14)。你認為這裡耶穌所說小孩子的特質是什麼﹖

馬可12:13-17

     耶穌說”那麼﹐把凱撒的東西給凱撒﹐把上帝的東西給上帝。”他們聽了這話﹐對他非常驚訝 (馬可12:17)。你對耶穌這種二分法的了解是什麼﹖我們常聽到教會的人習慣性地把事物分做屬靈和屬世。但是做為一個長老會的信徒﹐我們又宣告上帝無比的主權攝理世間萬事萬物。所以到底有沒有什麼屬世的事是上帝不管或管不到的﹖根據你的看法﹐我們該如何協調說明這兩個看起來好像彼此衝突的觀念﹖
