Question 1:  Proverb chapter 3, v 9-10

These two verses advise readers to offer the best to God.  In return, God will bless more in material.  This sounds fair.  But this also looks like the offering given by the believers of the Taiwanese folk religion who expect their gods' blessing in return.

(1) What's the Presbyterian attitude of giving offering?

(2) Since God does not need favor from human, why do we praise and glorify God as our Presbyterian reformation doctrine?

Question 2: Proverb 6:1-5    Luke 10:25-37

In our daily life, we are often confronted with choices which require taking great risk in order to love our "neighbor". How do we balance Jesus' commandment of "love your neighbor as you love yourself" vs. these "common sense" wisdom teachings in proverbs?

Question 3: Proverb 9:7 – 9:

Should we pick and choose when we interact with people in our daily life? What attitude should you take toward a scoffer or wicked man? What attitude should you take toward a wise or righteous person? Is the advice of these verses one sided? What should or should not be added to them?
