Outreach Programs TAFPC reaches out to the community and the world through direct actions by
the members, through participation in community activities, and through
the distribution of publications. This is accomplished primarily
through evangelical gatherings, retreat, and church communications.Taiwanese American Language Center The Taiwanese American Language Center (TALC) in New Brunswick, NJ, is a learning environment about the heritage of Taiwanese and Taiwanese American. It was established in 1987 by the joint efforts of Taiwanese/American Fellowship Presbyterian Church, Taiwan Care Inc., and Taiwanese American Association – NJ Chapter. Its program is designed to promote and preserve Taiwanese language and cultural heritage, among the first and second generation, and to forge Taiwanese American identity. Homeless Shelters TAFPC joins several churches in New Brunswick area every winter to provide homeless shelters to homeless people during severe cold winter. Male members of TAFPC volunteer to safeguard the shelter and to help maintaining the order in the shelter as well as preparing for beds and blankets for the homeless people. Elijah's Promise - Soup Kitchen TAFPC English Ministry will participate in a community service program that our youngsters from the English Ministry have been enthusiastically participating. For the first half of 2005, TAFPC has been offered by the Elijah’s Promise – Soup Kitchen in New Brunswick with 5 dates to serve. All who are interested are encouraged to sign up with Christine Su at luckie303@hotmail.com World VisionFull House Fellowship joins World Vision – United States, Child Sponsorship program since April, 2004. Right now we sponsor three children - one girl from Ghana, one boy from Senegal and another girl from Sri Lanka. Every participant commits to sponsor $4 per month. It reminds us that we should reach out to people in need. Jesus said, ”I tell you the truth; whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”. (Matthew 25:40) A summer retreat experience for you and your family, that will combine a fun time, fellowship, along with developing and nurturing personal spiritual growth. The accent of our summer retreat is on outreach to the American-Taiwanese community. We hope to be part of a life-changing experience through your involvement in our ministry activity.
